Davidson Doozie

In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, on May 9, 2015, Family Services of Davidson County (FSDC) will host the 4th Annual Davidson Doozie 10K & 3.6 Mi race.

Our goal for this event is to bring Davidson County and the surrounding communities together to raise awareness and to advance services provided through Family Services of Davidson County.

Certified 10K Course: starts at 8:00AM

3.6 mile course: starts at 8:20AM

The 10K USATF certified race course winds through beautiful Lexington and is definitely a fun challenge for adults and children.

There will also be a short-distance, untimed Kids' Fun Run.


Additional Details:

Race Shirts:

Runners and Sleep-In participants who register by April 30th will receive a heavy-weight cotton race t-shirt.  
Additional shirts will be available race day and at packet pick-up, however sizes will be based on a first come first serve basis.  Register early to be sure to get a race shirt.

Kids Fun Run participants will not receive a race shirt, but they will each get a finishers' medal.


Race Timing & Awards:

The race will utilize start-of-the-art disposable bib-chip timing by www.PrecisionRace.com

Runners can register to receive a text message with their results as they cross the finish line. You can also see and print your personal results at the Precision Race touch-screen Results Kiosks.

Prize categories include overall top male and female along with top male and female in the following age groups:. 18 & Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Race prizes will be local pottery from Mission's Pottery.

Sleep In Option:

If you're not a runner, but you want to support the Davidson County Family Services, you can register for the Sleep In option.

Sleep In participants receive a race shirt. You can pick your shirt up at the race or during the following week at the Davidson County Family Services office.
